Skycoin Blockchain Turns 10
On March 17, 2015, the Skycoin genesis block was mined. Ten years later, the chain continues to produce blocks and process transactions.

Over the past decade, the Skycoin project has grown from a blockchain and cryptocurrency into a broader ecosystem including Skywire, a decentralized mesh network, and CX, a blockchain programming language.
The network has processed over 191,000 blocks with a total supply cap of 25 million SKY. Coin Hours, generated by holding Skycoin, serve as the fuel for transactions on the network and as the currency of the Skywire ecosystem.
